Matthew Hall molded this bottle opener from a real Atlantic Quahog shell. Also known as the Hard Clam, the Round Clam, this is the mainstay of every proper New England clambake, then elegantly modified it to function as a bottle opener and cast it in solid bronze. The amount of detail retained from the original shell is extraordinary, and the weight in the hand is exactly what solid bronze feels like, which is to say very good indeed. It looks stunning as a decorative piece on a bar tray or kitchen counter, functions exceptionally well as a bottle opener, and fits in a pocket for those gatherings where a conversation starter helps. The most New England bottle opener we have ever found.
