The Préhistoire — inspired by ancient Egyptian vessels Ellen discovered at the Louvre — is the piece that started it all. A whorling gesture that evokes a search for the infinite, hand-formed in terra-cotta and finished in white glaze in her Brooklyn studio. We found Ellen on a scouting trip to New York and have been devoted ever since. Tall and sculptural in the large, quietly powerful in the medium — both sizes earn their place wherever you put them.
