No two are alike, and that is entirely the point. Vassar found this bowl and was drawn to exactly what makes it irreplaceable: the way the wood determined its own shape, the swirling grain that records decades of growth, the undulating rim that no tool could have planned. Hand-carved from a single piece of wood, it holds the mark of the tree it came from and the hands that revealed it. The small crack at the base is not a flaw — it is part of the story, the kind of detail that makes a found object different from a manufactured one. On a counter, a shelf, or a table, it holds keys or fruit or nothing at all with equal grace.
