Penny Morrison has spent decades making the case for rooms and tables that are full of joy, pattern, and colour without apology. The Summer Flower Large Plate is hand painted and hand glazed by artisans in Portugal, with a full blossoming flower in the well of the plate and symmetrical floral detailing around the lip that makes it as beautiful empty on a shelf as it is in use. The green colorway is fresh and garden-inspired — the kind of colour that looks particularly beautiful on a wooden table or layered with white linen. Pairs beautifully with the matching pudding bowl, side plate, and flat bowl for a complete summer table, or mix with other designs for something more maximalist. Ceramic, dishwasher safe. Due to the handmade nature of each piece, colour and pattern vary slightly, which only adds to their charm.
